Dr. Laway: Batang Misteryoso ng Cebu

In the 1940s, a mysterious boy suddenly appeared in Pasil, Mandaue, Cebu. Some people referred to him as Dr. Laway because his saliva was believed to possess healing properties. Others called him Ben Isay Ngipon due to his single tooth that seemed to wander around his mouth. However, the nickname Batang Misteryoso quickly spread throughout the city of Cebu and its neighboring towns, as people were intrigued by his unknown origin and true purpose.

This enigmatic boy was also known as Sr. Sto. Nino, as during that time, the statue of Sr. Sto. Nino had mysteriously vanished from the Cathedral church. Many believed that only Sr. Sto. Nino possessed the power to perform miracles and heal the sick, leading them to speculate that the boy was a physical manifestation of the revered statue.

Due to his divine healing abilities, a group of individuals sought to exploit his powers for personal gain. They saw an opportunity to profit from the boy's ability to help and cure many people. However, the boy refused to accept any money in return for his services. Instead, he selflessly donated the funds to the poor and the youth, never indulging in material possessions or luxury.

One day, the boy was placed in a car and driven through the streets of Cebu City. As the car slowly made its way, a crowd of curious onlookers followed, eager to catch a glimpse of the Mysterious Boy they believed to be Sr. Sto. Nino in human form. Along the roadside, sick individuals patiently waited, hoping for a chance to be healed. Each time the "businessmen" accompanying the boy spotted a sick person, they would instruct Ben to approach and heal them. With a simple touch to the patient's head, miraculous healing would occur instantaneously.

Despite the patients' willingness to offer money in gratitude for the boy's healing grace, Ben adamantly refused to accept any form of payment. In order to seize the opportunity, those "businessmen" were the ones who accepted the money offered to Ben Isay Ngipon. Numerous individuals were sick and desperately sought treatment. The miraculous events witnessed by the crowd resulted in an almost countless number of followers. Consequently, this is when the "businessmen" were inundated with money. A grand parade or procession took place in the city of Cebu, captivating the entire population. The enigmatic child became the center of attention, leaving the city in awe.

Ben Isay Ngipon

Ben Isay Ngipon

At the tender age of 12 in 1946, Ruben Ecleo or better known in his youth as Ben Isay Ngipon embarked on his first mission in the Visayas, a fact that is not widely known even to the second generation members. With nothing but the clothes he wears and no place to call home, he set out on foot, driven by his pure missionary spirit to reach the poor and needy in the mountains of Visayas and Mindanao. Despite his youth, Ben Isay Ngipon never had the chance to enjoy a typical boyhood. Instead, he spent his days traveling from town to town, barrio to barrio, and even to remote sitios with no roads leading to them. He endured hunger, thirst, fatigue, and uncomfortable sleep in his quest to bring the good news to the spiritually weary and blind to spirituality. Although many witnessed Ben Isay Ngipon's mighty spiritual deeds, no one recorded them in writing. Even the millions who experienced his powers failed to put them on record. While there are audio recordings of his messages, they are nowhere to be found. Imagine if a historian were to study the deeds of our Divine Master thirty-seven years from the time of his demise. Using the historian's method of authentication through multiple attestation and criterion of dissimilarity, they would likely dismiss his powers or miracles as mere legend or myth, just like in the case of Jesus. Unlike Sai Baba, we do not have an official collection of the Divine Master's messages in audio or written format, nor do we possess a video of him. All we have is a 13-second video from YouTube!

Rule of Mission: The Importance of Upholding Moral Values and Protecting the Honor of our Association

Master Ruben M. Ecleo - I
Rubenian International, Inc.
Supreme President & Founder

In our esteemed association, we are bound by a strong sense of dedication and commitment to our Master. We recognize the significance of upholding moral values and protecting the honor of our association above all else. This is a brief reminder that aims to shed light on the reasons why we must adhere to these principles and emphasizes the importance of respecting our Master's authority.

Rule of Mission #2: Defending the Morals of Our Master & Protecting the Honor of Our Association

One of the fundamental responsibilities we have as members of our association is to defend and uphold the morals of our Master. Our Master serves as a guiding light, imparting wisdom, and teaching us valuable life lessons. By preserving our Master's morals, we ensure the integrity and authenticity of our association. This commitment demonstrates our loyalty and devotion to the principles that our Master has instilled in us.

The honor of our association is of utmost importance. It is a reflection of our collective commitment and the trust our Master has bestowed upon us. By protecting the honor of our association, we safeguard our reputation and maintain the faith of our fellow members. Upholding our association's honor also serves to inspire others and attract new members who share our values and aspirations.

Rule of Mission #7: Avoiding Affiliation with Other Associations

To maintain the integrity of our association, it is essential that we refrain from becoming members or affiliates of other associations. This restriction ensures that our focus remains undivided and that we do not compromise our commitment to our Master and our association's principles. By avoiding affiliations, we prevent any potential conflicts of interest and protect the unity and cohesion within our association.

Rule of Mission #15: Restricting Spiritual Interviews

In order to maintain a sense of order and respect for our Master, it is imperative to seek permission before engaging in spiritual interviews or lectures. This protocol ensures that our interactions align with the teachings and guidance of our Master. By following this rule, we avoid potential misunderstandings and the mixing of truth and falsehood, which could undermine the integrity of our association's spiritual practices.

Our association stands as a bastion of moral values and a symbol of honor. By defending our Master's morals and protecting our association's honor, we reinforce our commitment to the principles that unite us. The avoidance of affiliations and the restriction on spiritual interviews, with permission, further solidify our dedication and respect for our Master's authority. As members, it is our duty to prioritize the preservation of our association's integrity, ensuring its enduring impact and inspiring others to join our noble cause.

These are all further detailed in the Rubenian Code of Conduct.
